Optimizing Evoto’s Performance: Speed Up Your Editing Workflow

Evoto is packed with powerful features designed to give you professional-grade photo edits. However, to make the most of these features, especially when working on complex projects, it’s important to optimize the software’s performance. By fine-tuning specific settings within Evoto, you can significantly enhance the rendering speed of effects, ensuring a smoother and faster editing experience. Here’s how you can optimize Evoto for better performance.

Rendering Speed Settings

Evoto offers several options to enhance the rendering speed of various effects, particularly when dealing with complex edits. Adjusting these settings can help you achieve faster results without compromising the quality of your work.

  • Preview Speed:

    • Portrait Effect Rendering Acceleration: When enabled, this setting accelerates the rendering speed of portrait effects during the preview.

    • Color Effect Rendering Acceleration: This option speeds up the rendering of color effects during the preview.

  • Export Speed:

    • Portrait Effect Rendering Acceleration: This setting is also available under export options, where enabling it will speed up the rendering of portrait effects during the export process.

Note:

After making these changes, ensure you restart Evoto to apply the settings.

Improve Group Portrait Processing Speed

Evoto allows you to optimize effect processing for group portraits, especially for images containing 15 or more people. However, turning on this feature might slightly affect processing accuracy.

  • Improve Effect Processing Speed of Group Portraits: Activate this setting to accelerate the processing of large group portraits. While this enhances speed, it may influence the precision of certain effects.

Memory Usage Settings

Optimizing memory usage is crucial for maintaining a fast and smooth workflow in Evoto. There are specific settings you can enable to improve both preview and export memory utilization.

  • Preview:

    • Improve Memory Utilization: Enhances how efficiently the memory is used during the preview of effects.

    • Optimize Memory Space: Frees up memory to allocate resources better during the preview phase.

  • Export:

    • Improve Memory Utilization: Speeds up the export process by better utilizing available memory.

    • Optimize Memory Space: Maximizes memory space to ensure smoother performance during export.

Note:

As with rendering speed settings, a restart of Evoto is necessary for these memory settings to take effect.

Effect Loading Settings

To further optimize the speed of effect previews, you can enable Preview Effect Preloading. This feature allows the application to pre-load the effects of adjacent images, reducing the time you have to wait when switching between images.

  • Preview Effect Preloading: When activated, Evoto preloads the effects of neighboring images, which reduces waiting time when previewing effects. However, this feature may consume resources that could otherwise be used for image export, potentially slowing down the export process.

By fine-tuning these settings, you can significantly enhance your workflow in Evoto, making your editing process smoother and faster. Whether you’re dealing with large group portraits or need quicker previews and exports, these adjustments will help you maximize efficiency.
