Follow the steps below to configure your Sony camera and computer for tethered shooting in Evoto.

Check Computer Connection

Windows:	macOS:
Go to Device Manager, navigate to Portable Devices, and confirm your Sony camera is connected.	Open the Photos application and verify that your Sony camera appears under Devices.

USB Connection Mode

Newer Sony Cameras:
When connected to the computer, the camera will automatically prompt you to select the connection type. Choose:

• Remote Control (PC Remote)

Older Sony Cameras:
For models without the automatic prompt, manually navigate to:

• Menu → Setup → USB → USB Connection Mode → PC Remote

Image Save Location

After connecting the camera to your computer, set the file save location under:

• Menu → Network → Connection / PC Remote → Remote Shoot Setting

Adjust the following:

• Still Img. Save Dest.: Dest. + Camera (Recommended)

• Save Image Size: Original (Required)

• RAW+J Save Image: RAW & JPEG (Recommended)

Camera Firmware Version

For optimal performance, ensure your Sony camera is running the latest firmware.
