What currency does Evoto Video use?

Evoto Video uses vCredits. vCredits are separate from the standard Evoto Credits used by other Evoto products and are not interchangeable.

How are exports charged?

vCredits = Feature Rate × Processed Duration (seconds)

Only clips or segments with effects applied are charged. Unedited footage included in the timeline does not consume vCredits when exported. The frame-rate multiplier has been removed. Portrait duration and color duration are calculated separately.

Current Feature Rate:

• Portrait Retouching = 1 vCredit per second
• AI Color Match, Color Restoration, Creative LUTs, and Color Adjustment = 0 (free for a limited time)

Do new users get any free credits?

Yes. New users receive 60 vCredits after first login. That is equivalent to about 1 minute of portrait retouching. Free credits expire 30 days after activation.

What happens if my export fails? Will I still be charged?

No. If an export fails, you will not be charged. Any unused vCredits are automatically refunded to your account.

If I retry an export, will I be charged again?

Within the same organization, repeated exports of the same original video are recognized across sub-accounts, devices, and projects. Duration that has already been charged is not charged again. Only newly processed duration is charged.

• Example: a 10-second video has portrait effects on the first 6 seconds and uses 6 vCredits. If portrait effects are later extended to the first 8 seconds, only the additional 2 seconds are charged.
• Example: color adjustments on the first 6 seconds use 0 vCredits while the limited-time offer is active. If portrait effects are later applied to the first 8 seconds, 8 vCredits are charged for portrait retouching.

Export history from earlier versions may not be fully recovered. The first export from a project created in an earlier version may still be charged. After a new export record is created, later exports follow the repeated-export rule.

Are unedited clips charged when exported together with edited clips?

No. Only the clips or segments with applied effects count toward billing.
