Color grading is a powerful tool for photographers and editors, and Evoto makes it easy to integrate industry-standard presets into your workflow. This guide will walk you through the simple process of importing .XMP and .CUBE files, allowing you to seamlessly apply your favorite color adjustments.
Why Use .XMP and .CUBE Files?
These file formats are widely used to save specific color adjustments and share them across different projects and software. Evoto’s compatibility with these formats ensures you can bring your favorite presets directly into your editing process, making color transitions smoother and enhancing your overall workflow.
How to Import .XMP and .CUBE Files in Evoto
Importing these files has become a straightforward process.
Step 1: Access the Import Preset Option
First, open Evoto and navigate to the Presets panel. Click on the ➕ (Plus) icon, then select the Import Preset option. You will see a new selection for “Local Files (.xmp/.cube).” This is where you will begin the import process.
Step 2: Importing .XMP Files
If you have an .XMP file, simply select it and import it into Evoto. Upon import, Evoto will automatically create a new preset under “My Presets,” making it easily accessible for future use.
Step 3: Importing .CUBE Files or .XMP Files with LUT Information
If you’re working with a .CUBE file or an .XMP file that includes LUT (Look-Up Table) information, the process is just as simple. Importing these files will automatically generate a preset that includes the Profile information, which will be stored in the same location as your other presets for quick access.
The ability to import these common file formats streamlines your editing process, allowing you to unleash your creative potential with seamless color adjustments.
