iPad Crop
The Crop module in Evoto for iPad provides flexible cropping options to suit various editing needs, including fixed ratios, custom dimensions, and resolution-based inputs.
Crop Modes
Evoto supports three cropping methods:
- Fixed Ratio
Choose from standard aspect ratios to maintain proportional dimensions. - Free Sizing
Manually adjust the crop area without any ratio constraints. - Input Size (W × H × Resolution)
Enter specific width, height, and resolution values for precise cropping.
- Unit: Inches
- Ideal for print or specific output requirements.
- Unit: Inches
Once cropping is complete, tap OK in the bottom right corner to apply and save the crop.
Seamless Tab Switching
While cropping, users can switch between different editing tabs without interrupting the crop process. This allows for smoother and more flexible workflow adjustments.
Aspect Ratio Options
- Original
Maintains the dimensions of the image as imported into Evoto. - As Shot
Crops based on the image’s original capture size. - W × H × Resolution
Allows manual input of exact dimensions and resolution.
Additional options:
- Aspect Ratio Button
Tap to switch between aspect ratios quickly. - Link Button
Tap to lock the aspect ratio while resizing the crop box.
Standard Cropping Sizes
Evoto provides a list of common standard sizes for quick selection. These are ideal for prints, social media, or other platform-specific dimensions.
Rotate
The Rotate module in Evoto for iPad allows precise control over image orientation, including rotation and mirroring, with optional AI-powered alignment.
Rotate Options
Evoto for iPad supports the following orientation tools:
- Clockwise Rotation
- Counterclockwise Rotation
- Horizontal Flip (mirror left to right)
- Vertical Flip (mirror top to bottom)
You can also use the rotation slider to make fine adjustments to image alignment:
- Slider Range: –45° to +45°
AI Horizontal Correction
Evoto for iPad includes an AI Horizontal Correction tool to automatically straighten images.
- Tap the Auto button to enable this feature.
- When active, the Auto button will turn yellow.
- The AI will analyze the image and apply a horizon correction automatically.
Interaction Between AI Horizontal Correction and Rotation Tools
Evoto ensures seamless integration between manual rotation and AI adjustments:
- Manual Rotation
- Adjusts the image’s horizon based on the rotation direction you choose.
- Adjusts the image’s horizon based on the rotation direction you choose.
- Clockwise/Counterclockwise Rotation with AI
- When you apply AI Horizontal Correction after rotating the image, the AI intelligently recalculates the horizon based on the rotated orientation.
- When you apply AI Horizontal Correction after rotating the image, the AI intelligently recalculates the horizon based on the rotated orientation.
- Mirroring and AI Correction
- After performing a horizontal or vertical flip, the AI Horizontal Correction feature will recalculate and apply correction based on the new image orientation.
