Batch style matching lets you apply the same look and effects across multiple photos at once, saving time and keeping your edits consistent. In Evoto, you can do this in two main ways: by syncing effects directly or by creating and applying presets.
Method 1: Syncing Effects Between Photos
This method is best when you want to copy all (or selected) effects from one photo and apply them directly to others in the same project.
Step 1 – Select the Source Photo
Choose the photo that already has the style you want to use. Click on it so it is highlighted in yellow.
Step 2 – Select Target Photos
Now select the photos you want to sync effects to.
-
Command + Click (Mac) / Ctrl + Click (Windows): Select multiple individual photos.
-
Shift + Click: Select a continuous range of photos.
When selected, the photos will be highlighted in white.
Step 3 – Choose Which Effects to Sync
Click the gear icon next to the Sync button. A panel will appear where you can select which types of effects to sync, such as:
-
Color adjustments
-
Portrait retouching
-
Background changer
This gives you full control if you only want certain edits copied over.
Step 4 – Sync the Effects
Click the Sync button. Evoto will copy all the effects from the yellow-highlighted photo to all the white-highlighted photos.
Alternatively, you can:
-
Press Command + C (Mac) / Ctrl + C (Windows) to copy effects from the source photo.
-
Then select the target photos and press Command + V (Mac) / Ctrl + V (Windows) to paste the effects.
Method 2: Using Presets
This method is ideal if you want to reuse a specific editing style across multiple sessions or projects.
Step 1 – Save a Preset
Select the photo that has the style you want to keep.
In the editing panel, click Save Preset.
A pop-up window will appear where you can choose which effects to include in the preset.
After saving, your preset will appear in your presets list.
Step 2 – Apply the Preset to Other Photos
Select any new photo (or group of photos).
Open the presets panel and choose your saved preset.
The selected effects will be instantly applied.
When to Use Which Method?
-
Syncing Effects: Perfect for quick edits when you’re working on a batch of photos in the same project and want to keep everything consistent on the spot.
-
Presets: Best for long-term use. If you know you’ll want the same style later, save it as a preset for easy reapplication across different projects.
Quick Tips for Better Results
-
Always make sure your source photo (yellow highlight) has all the adjustments finalized before syncing.
-
Use the gear icon to avoid overwriting edits you don’t want copied.
-
Name your presets clearly (e.g., “Soft Portrait Retouch” or “Studio Clean Background”) so you can find them easily later.
