Device & Network Requirements
What are the minimum system requirements for Evoto Video?
What are the network requirements?
An internet connection is required. Overall experience may vary depending on your network speed.
Why does the installer trigger a browser or system warning?
This can happen with newly released software. If your browser or system displays a warning, follow the on-screen prompt to continue the installation. The installer is safe to use.
Why does the interface look too large on Windows?
This is usually caused by display scaling. Go to Windows Settings > Display > Scale and layout, set the scale to 100%, and restart Evoto Video.

Video Import & Project Setup
What video formats does Evoto Video support?
Evoto Video currently supports importing .mp4, .mov, and .m4v files. It supports resolutions up to 4K.
How long can videos be for import?
Currently, Evoto Video supports importing videos up to 18,000 frames, which is about 10 minutes at 30 fps. The actual duration depends on frame rate:
- 30 fps → about 10 minutes
- 60 fps → about 5 minutes
Why don’t you recommend importing fully edited videos?
- Evoto Video is designed for enhancement and optimization, not for final creative editing.
- Pricing is based on processed duration, and fully edited videos may include unnecessary segments.
- Visual effects such as transitions may interfere with AI processing quality.
What is the difference between the Project Panel and the Timeline?
The Project Panel is where you start a project, import videos, import XML files, and open utility items such as export records, feedback, and account settings. The Timeline is where you review clips, move through footage, split scenes, and manage edits over time.
Editing Workflow & AI Features
How do I start editing in Evoto Video?
Import a video into the workspace, choose a clip on the timeline, move to the frame you want to adjust, then open the editing panel on the right side. You can make portrait retouching or color adjustments on that frame and then apply them to the clip.
Why do I need to click “Apply Effects”?
Evoto Video uses a render-based workflow. After adjusting a selected frame, you must click Apply Effects so those changes are rendered across the clip for proper playback and review.
What does the Portrait panel include?
The Portrait panel includes presets, blemish removal, skin retouching, face attribute controls, reshape tools, and adjustments for teeth and eyes. It is designed for detailed portrait enhancement while preserving a natural look.
What should I do if Evoto Video misses a face or detects the wrong one?
Use the Face Attributes controls in the retouching panel:
- Add Face: Draw a face box manually if someone was missed.
- Delete Face: Remove a detected face box if it is incorrect or belongs to a background person.
- Modify Attributes: Correct the detected age or gender label if needed.
What does AI Color Match do?
AI Color Match lets you apply the color style of a reference image to your video with one click. It supports both LOG footage and Rec.709 footage.
Can I fine-tune colors manually with sliders or color wheels?
Not yet. At this stage, AI Color Match is a one-click solution, and manual color grading tools are not supported.
Can I save color presets?
Not at this stage. Saving presets is not supported yet.
Preview & Rendering
Why is rendering currently slow?
- Video rendering is naturally time-consuming, similar to tools such as After Effects or other AI video workflows.
- Evoto Video uses high-precision algorithms to prioritize realism and quality.
- Rendering performance is still being improved through engineering and algorithm optimization, and a render queue workflow is planned so users can keep working while exports continue.
Are videos uploaded to the cloud?
Yes. Evoto Video currently uses cloud processing so users can access the latest algorithm improvements more quickly.
How is privacy handled for cloud processing?
Evoto Video uses certified cloud providers and encrypted transmission to help protect privacy and data security. Cloud processing also reduces the local hardware burden and can preserve progress more safely if a local machine crashes or disconnects.
Why does the preview look lower quality than my original footage?
- For videos at 1080p or below, preview matches the original quality.
- For videos above 1080p, preview may be shown at reduced resolution for performance, but export keeps the original resolution and frame rate.
Export & File Management
Can I save only part of a project?
Yes. Evoto Video supports both Full Export and Segment Export.
- Full Export: Exports the entire timeline.
- Segment Export: Exports only selected clips or sections.
Can I choose the export path or rename files before export?
Yes. You can customize both the export location and file name before exporting.
By default, export files use this naming pattern: [Original filename] + [timestamp].
What happens if my export fails? Will I be charged?
If an export fails, you will not be charged. Any unused vCredits are automatically refunded to your account. If you retry the export, the rendering process runs again and vCredits are charged again based on the applied effects and settings.
Does Evoto Video keep the original audio?
Yes. Original audio is included during export. However, audio playback is not currently supported in the editing interface.
Support & Feedback
Can I submit feedback directly in the software?
Yes. Evoto Video includes a Provide Feedback entry so you can submit feedback or report issues directly to the team.
How can I report issues or ask for help?
- Use the in-app Feedback entry
- Contact support@evoto.ai
